For top tier pleasure make sure to turn the quality up to 1080p and the sound on!
The Model was actually quite straight forward. I used a lot of mirror modifier. Like a lot.
Some fancy shading for the cushions which were created with a cloth simulation using the pressure feature for a more realistic feel.
One of my magic tricks. I rotated the headphones and camera and used the particle system as a brush on a transluscent plane (canvas) with dynamic paint in wave-mode. From the camera perspective it now looks like the particles flying sideways and hitting something in the background creating tiny waves.
This is what I love about working in Blender. In this render I animated the location, the focal length and the distance (depth of field) of the the camera all at once, creating a rather experimental shot. I think it works quite well in the final video.
Finally I stitched it all together in Davinci Resolve. I even watched some Apple commercials to get a good pace and some funky camera angles.
